En definitiva parece evidente que los eosinófilos, con independencia de su acción,
inicialmente conocida, en defensa de las infecciones frente a parásitos y su
participación en las enfermedades alérgicas, son unas células realmente
implicadas en la respuesta inmunológica del organismo y participan tanto en la
homeostasis de los tejidos y órganos, en estado de salud, como en la fisiopatología
de múltiples enfermedades.
